RD901: RENE: Real Estate Negotiation Expert - In-Person

The Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) Certification is for real estate professionals who want to sharpen their negotiation skills. This invaluable certification program gives REALTORS® the tips and tools they need to be skillful advocates for their clients.

Topics include:

  • How to improve your negotiating skills
  • Learn about 'behind-the-scenes' issues and how to deal with them
  • Learn how to handle a wide range of personalities and situations
  • Learn to sort out the competing objectives of the parties involved in a transaction

The RENE certification is the first (and currently only) negotitating credential nationally recognized by NAR. As a real estate professional, you will encounter people from all backgrounds, with differing personalities and competing objectives. The RENE certification will hone your skills as a negotiator to a razor sharp edge helping you best serve your clientele. Situations and application of the RENE certification include:

  • When and how to negotiate
  • Craft a plan/strategy for any negotiation
  • Recognize patterns and tactics being utilized
  • Adjust your communication style to achieve optimum results with any party in the transaction
  • Successfully apply the principles of persuasion to any negotiation situation
  • Effectively negotiate face-to-face, on the phone or through e-mail and other media
  • Review some of the tips and tools professionals need to master
  • Understand the tactics, techniques and power tools and how to recognize them being done
  • Practice putting them in action through real-world field scenarios
