Are you an International Real Estate Professional? Would you like to be? Going global can actually happen right here: in your own backyard. Check out the following statistics on the number of foreigners (non-immigrants) arriving in Illinois in 2004:
404,486 foreigners for vacation
7,439 traders and investors
24,064 foreign students
12, 198 foreign workers due to intra-company transfers
2,204 foreign workers related to NAFTA
184,758 foreigners for other business
Many of these foreigners need rental housing, second homes, or commercial property in Illinois. Not only that, many US residents require a home abroad. Illinois exports have increased, which may lead locally-based companies to establish company reps and sales staff in other countries. Is now the time for you to set up referral networks in Canada, Mexico, or Japan?
