RESPA
Understanding the Real Estate Procedures Settlement Act (RESPA) is critical to brokers and agents avoiding potential penalties. Under RESPA, REALTORS® are prohibited from accepting a "thing of value" from a mortgage broker or banker, or a title company or agent for referring business. The REALTOR® store carries excellent booklets on the topic and pocket cards that can be given to your agents as reminder cards.
