Innovation in Your Backyard

Innovation, disruption, and change in the world of real estate is something that we hear about on a daily basis. Join us when our guest speaker Brian Stevens, the co-host and head writer of the National Real Estate Post, the mortgage and real estate industry's most viewed daily video podcast, talks about "the dirt" and what is happening in our industry. Brian has been speaking and training at events throughout the country and is 100% unabashed about conveying his viewpoint.

Technology has certainly been a key disruptor across every facet of real estate. As technology progresses each year, the real estate industry can no longer rely on traditional methods. Real estate brokerages are now grappling with the need to be innovators, disruptor's, and futurists. Learn from a panel of broker owners on what they are doing to remain effective with innovative real estate development ideas and how it's changing the Chicagoland real estate market.

Ryan’s career in real estate began in 2005. After seven years of working at a senior-level, c-suite executive search firm. Shortly after Ryan entered the real estate field full time, he quickly became one of Chicago’s top-selling real estate agents. Ryan sold homes all over Chicagoland, and represented developers in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. As a real estate salesperson, Ryan’s career accelerated after the great recession. Ryan achieved year-over-year growth, selling primarily new development condos and townhomes in the West Loop, as well as other residential homes throughout the Chicagoland area.

In 2010, Ryan began coaching a handful of agents, in order to help them elevate their own individual careers. Some were experienced agents, struggling to maintain their business during the great recession. Others had only just obtained their real estate license, with no experience in the industry to speak of. By the end of 2011 — after only a year and a half of weekly to monthly coaching with Ryan — each of these agents reached the top 5% in sales production for the Chicago Association of Realtors. This impressive result caused Ryan to shift his focus away from selling real estate, toward the creation of his own business. It was then and there that d’aprile properties was formed.

Since 2012, d’aprile properties has experienced tremendous growth. What began as a handful of agents operating out of one office in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, has grown to offices throughout Chicagoland, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and now Florida. The firm has continued year-over-year growth.

d’aprile properties has been recognized as a leader in the industry year after year by professional and industry organizations such as:

-Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies

-Chicago Tribune Top WorkPlaces

-RISMedia Top 500 Power Brokers

The above was accomplished over the past nine years through a program of consistent coaching and training of Ryan’s team of REALTORS® and professional staff..
