In this second installment of the Propel 2023 What Moves Us blog series, you will find a list of hot button subjects we have planned for our panelists to highlight. Propel 2023 is going live tomorrow and the information below serves as a sneak peek at the topics being presented.
i. Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) – IBM defines AI as “the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially computer programs. Like the task of using computers to understand human intelligence, AI does not confine itself to methods considered biologically observable.” AI is trending as one of the most popular and polarizing conversations of 2023. The best way to ensure you are maximizing your use of AI is simply to gather information about who is doing so and how you can do the same. ii. Canva – Canva is an Australian based global company specializing in social media graphics and presentations, compatible with PC and Mac. This up-and-coming company intends to “compete with Google and Microsoft in the office software category.” Canva is a design platform used to create social media graphics and personalized presentations. iii. ChatGPT – An AI chatbot developed by OpenAI known most notably for allowing users to, “refine and steer a conversation towards a desired length, format, style, level of detail and language.” ChatGPT is popular amongst many business sectors due to its innovative nature of being a more advanced software in the everchanging AI community. As an example of ASI, ChatGPT can generate search result content for users but will also conjure new content based on the initial search query.
iv. Copyright law – Citing Cornell Law School, copyright law is defined as, “the legal right to reproduce, publish, sell or distribute the matter and form of something.” Learn how to safeguard what’s yours and insulate your business from copycats or copyright infringement. v. Cybersecurity – Cisco defines cybersecurity as, “the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from attacks aimed at accessing, changing or destroying sensitive information.” In 2018, the cybersecurity industry was estimated to be worth $120 billion. In 2023, it is now conservatively estimated to be worth $203 billion. In a short five years it has grown in value by $83 billion.
