Gormley became Mainstreet CEO in December 2017. He previously was CEO of St. Louis REALTORS® and before that Vice President, Communications and Marketing, for Texas REALTORS®, based in Austin.

John has 36 years’ experience in association management—with the past 26 of those years spent working in the REALTORS® organization.

He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in mass communication from Texas State University.

Amy Robey

Amy is Vice President of Marketing & Communications and has been with the association since 1998. Her role at Mainstreet is to align, develop and implement communication plans which promote, enhance and protect Mainstreet's brand reputation in accordance with the strategic vision and goals set by the Board of Directors. Amy is Vice President of Marketing & Communications and has been with the association since 1998. Her role at Mainstreet is to align, develop and implement communication plans which promote, enhance and protect Mainstreet's brand reputation in accordance with the strategic vision and goals set by the Board of Directors. On a daily basis, her responsibilities include overseeing all of the internal communication to members such as the website, all marketing pieces and email communications, as well as external communication to the media and consumers.
 
Prior to joining the Mainstreet team, she was a freelance writer for Sears Corporate out of Hoffman Estates. She has a degree in Public Relations and minor in writing from Illinois State University and resides in West Chicago with her husband. She has two children, ages 22 and 18. The 22 year old is in grad school at Midwestern in Arizona and the 18 year old is at Michigan State so Amy and her husband are currently enjoying being empty nesters.
