Last month was Illinois REALTORS® annual Public Policy Meetings in East Peoria. This three day event featured discussions on a variety of industry policy issues including affordable housing, global real estate, REALTOR® advocacy, and association involvement. There was a lot discussed at this years meetings, but one highlight were the awards presented to Illinois REALTORS® and Mainstreet for their fundraising efforts for RPAC.
Illinois REALTORS® took time to celebrate during the Public Policy Meetings their accomplishment of three consecutive years (2017-2019) of achieving the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) President’s Cup. To receive the Cup, Illinois met or surpassed nine RPAC fundraising and advocacy goals set by NAR including a voter registration drive, Call for Action support, RPAC participation, and at least one percent of the members as Major Investors in the political action committee.
Mainstreet was recognized for the most money raised and highest participation in Division 5 (5,001+ members). Mainstreet was also recognized as a recipient of the Illinois RPAC Triple Crown Award for meeting their RPAC goals set for money raised and Major Investors, plus 37 percent participation. Lastly, Mainstreet was awarded the Rising Star Award for most new Major Investors.
Mainstreet and Illinois REALTORS® had a great 2019 raising funds for RPAC, lets make 2020 even better!
