Durty Nellie’s Gastro Pub, Palatine – Sponsored by Neighborhood Loans Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® invited our members to attend the 10th annual Ugly Sweater Party, organized by our Young Professionals Network.
I walked the red-carpet at my second Ugly Sweater Party this year and once again, it does not just celebrate the holidays, it indulges them. Mood lighting, music for every taste, food, drinks and some of the ugliest sweaters you’ll ever see were on full display. As the must-attend annual holiday networking event, everyone at Ugly Sweater increased their professional connections with aplomb.
David Ferrel Jr. and Glory Greuel of Su Familia Real Estate joined me on the red-carpet to interview attendees as we hosted a Facebook live stream. We are so lucky to have such strong relationships with our Young Professional Network. Ugly Sweater is the premier Mainstreet networking event for December, with business cards and professional connections happening all night long.
Of course, there was a philanthropic purpose for the Ugly Sweater Party. We will be donating all proceeds to Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH), a 501©3 not-for-profit empowering individuals and families to secure homes. In Lake County CPAH has assisted with or preserved housing-related services for more than 25,000 residents.
We are proud to announce the 2023 Ugly Sweater was a charitable success, as Mainstreet wrote a donation check to CPAH for more than $3,000!
Naema Nunnery, REALTOR® at Coldwell Banker Realty of Oak Park was crowned as the 2023 Ugliest Sweater winner. A well-earned crown because there were some fantastically ugly sweaters this year.
From the red-carpet interviews to the bottle raffles to the photo booth, I am here to tell you that this is the crown jewel of December events at Mainstreet. ICYMI, plan to attend next year because I can assure you, Mainstreet’s Young Professional Network will do it bigger and uglier.
